Sleeping pills are not a solution for chronic sleep problems. And the side effects are not slight: dependence, dizziness, grogginess, coordination problems. Herbal preparations do less harm. You can try for yourself what works.
Seven herbs
Valerian. Calming, helps with falling asleep. Does not work for everyone.
Chamomile. A calming tea with a stomach-strengthening effect.
Lavender. In a bath, on the pillow or as a massage. Immediately soothing.
Linden blossom. Promotes sleep. Also fever-reducing with flu.
Hops. As a tea of dried hop cones, not as beer. Brings hormones into balance.
Lemon balm. Lemon flavour. Helps with restless sleep.
Passionflower. Calming in stress or anxiety. Also suitable for children.
No miracle cure. But a choice the body recognises.
