The size that holds the warmth

The size of a duvet matters. Too small, and draught appears. Too large, and it becomes heavy, awkward or thinner where you need warmth. The size of the bed linen also deserves attention.

Our solution: volants

The duvet itself may be a touch larger than the bed. The duvet cover starts at the size of the duvet. Volants are added to the Fja-Oeyen duvet cover: flaps that stop cold air when you move. So you stay covered without needing extra down.

Size versus warmth

A bigger duvet does not solve everything. The more duvet hanging over the edge, the more pressure arises and the less the down on you can gain volume. Down needs room to hold air.

What volants do

Volants on the covers enlarge the coverage without making the whole heavier. They move with you when you turn, block draught and keep warmth in the right place.

Calm at night

A good size you mainly notice because you no longer think about it. The duvet stays where it belongs, and you stay covered.

Made to measure as comfort

A good size is no luxury for its own sake. It prevents small corrections during the night: pulling, turning, replacing. That is precisely where rest lies.
